Vostok Europe's "Lunokhod 2" pays tribute to the 1960's Soviet Lunar Rover famous for setting the record for longest-functioning rover atop the moon. The watch has a number of impressive features, but the one that stands out is the hour markers being made of tritium tubes which illuminate in a 360-degree fashion. This special edition watch also contains a helium release valve.

The "seconds" hand glides around in a fashion similar to that of mechanical watches and is more accurate for in measuring elapsed time. Watch-movement designer, Miyota, uses a finely-crafted "velvet wheel" for switching off the "seconds" hand, which is the norm for mechanical chronograph watches. The timepiece's battery is capable of running 4 years due to a well-designed kinematic scheme involving low friction.
